Scan and Pack

Scan the bill. See the product. Pack it.

Scan the AWB barcode on the bill or label. PickShelf finds that order in your Daily Picklist data, looks up the SKU in your master file and shows you the product picture, size and quantity. Every scan is counted as packed, so you always know what is left. Everything runs on your own device and your files are not sent to us.

1. OrdersToday's picklist orders load by themselves, or add the order file.
2. Scan the billWith a scanner or your phone camera. The picture, SKU, size and quantity appear.
3. Check the countPacked, left, and a list of anything not packed.

Orders from the Daily Picklist page are found automatically. You can also add an order Excel, CSV or PDF here.

How an order is found

StepWhat PickShelf does
1Takes the number you scanned and ignores spaces, dashes and capital letters.
2Finds it in the AWB (or tracking) column of your order data. The order id is used too when the file has one.
3Reads the SKU, size and quantity of that order.
4Finds the SKU in your master file and shows the saved picture, name and colour.

The picture is the one saved by the Daily Picklist page, from your picture files or picture links. Add them there once.

Questions

Where do the orders come from?

When you make a picklist on the Daily Picklist page, PickShelf keeps the AWB numbers of those orders in this browser. This page reads them. You can also add the order file here. If the same order is in both, it is counted once.

How do I scan with my phone?

Open this page in Chrome or Safari on your phone and press "Scan with phone camera". Allow camera access when your phone asks. Point the camera at the barcode or QR code on the bill. The product appears above the camera and the parcel is counted as packed. Keep the camera open and scan the next bill. The same bill is not counted twice. The camera needs a website address that starts with https, which your Shopify store has.

The camera does not open. What do I do?

1. Open the page directly in Chrome or Safari, not inside another app or a preview. 2. Tap the lock or settings icon at the left of the address bar, then Permissions, and set Camera to Allow. Reload the page. 3. On Android also check Settings → Apps → Chrome → Permissions → Camera. 4. Close other apps that use the camera. If it still does not work, press "Take a photo of the bill". It opens your phone camera app, and PickShelf reads the barcode from the photo.

Which PDF files can I add?

Marketplace label or bill PDFs with one order on each page and selectable text. PickShelf reads the AWB and finds the SKU of your master file on each page. This is a trial reader, so compare the number of orders it finds with your own count. Picklist PDFs do not have AWB numbers and cannot be used here.

What if the order file has no AWB column?

Then PickShelf cannot match a scan to an order. Download the order file with the AWB or tracking number column. A label or bill PDF works too, because the AWB is read from each page.

What does "number not found" mean?

The scanned number is not in any order data on this device. The order may be on another day (change "Count orders from"), in a file you have not added, or the AWB column in the Excel was damaged (like 1.23E+13). Format that column as Text in Excel and download the file again.

What if I scan the same bill twice?

PickShelf shows the product again and tells you it was already packed, with the time. It is not counted twice. Use Undo if you scanned a parcel by mistake.

What if an order has more than one item?

All items of that parcel are shown together, each with its own picture. One scan packs the whole parcel.

Where is my data kept?

In this browser only. Clearing your browser data removes it, so download your lists at the end of the day. Saving it online will need seller login, which is planned.
